Pre-School
Quality Education, Inspiring Young Minds, Creating Excellence
the little school at Kids Cottage offers weekly preschool classes for children ages 12 months – 5 years. Our weekly themes are chosen to reflect the age and interests of the children in the program, with special attention given to community events and involvement, multi-cultural customs and celebrations, and developmentally appropriate skills and topics. Within each of these themes, a variety of activities that encourage the natural development of 12 months to 5 year old children are uniquely planned for each group to best prepare them for the transition into kindergarten and to form a skill base that may be built upon for years to come. The curriculum emphasizes the whole child and includes activities in the following developmental areas: Language, Motor (gross motor and fine motor), Social, Emotional, and Cognitive. In addition to the classroom curriculum, our Preschoolers also experience a variety of specials outside the classroom including, Phonics, Music, Creative Movement, Spanish, Field Trips and Community Visitors.
